The MegaLift is a computer controlled automated vertical lift, storage and retrieval system. Stock remains stationary within the MegaLift on front and rear tray locations. On request a movable extractor unit travels vertically between the two columns of trays and pulls the requested pallet from its location and takes it to an access point. The operator then picks or replenishes stock and the tray is returned to its home. Alternately, the selected tray can be automatically placed onto a stub conveyor, robot or AGV for onward dispatch. The key benefits to users from a wide range of industries are very similar. The most significant ones being:

Floor space savings: MegaLift is a modular system and can be built to any height, our tallest installation to date is in excess of 30 meters high. Shuttle makes very effective use of floor space giving it a high storage capacity to floor space ratio. Typical savings are in the region of 80%.

Increased picking speeds: MegaLift presents stock to the operator rather than the other way around. The correct tray will be brought by the extractor to the access level. Software will tell the operator how many items to pick. MegaLift will also sort stock into an optimum picking sequence minimising machine travel time . Anticipated improvements in picking speeds are four-fold.

Health and Safety: Osha guidelines on manual handling are comprehensive and clearly make employers responsible for introducing automation where possible to avoid the risks associated with manual handling. We estimate that 80% of the physical effort associated with manual systems will be eliminated by the introduction of MegaLift.

Flexibility: The trays within the MegaLift range are designed to handle both small and medium/large parts, up to a cubic metre in size. The tray loading of Shuttle ranges from 250 kgs to 1000 kgs.
